About Abbie…

Hello everyone!

My name is Abbie, and some of you may know me from my previous lifestyle blog, The Vintage Housewife, and I thank you for coming and taking a look at my new one! For all you new-comers, I’m really excited to get to know you all, and I hope you enjoy what I’ve got in store 🙂

As a young married couple, starting out and trying to save as much money for a deposit for our first home, budgeting is certainly a very important factor in our lifestyle. But on the flip side, so is our passion for good food! I have gotten pretty good at working out how best to make my food work for me, planning weekly meals using leftover ingredients throughout, whilst maintaining the variety and quality of meals that is so important to us. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not about living on a shoe string – one of my cupboard staples is parmesan for goodness sake – but that’s where I think I can be of help to you all 🙂

The plan is, to share with you all my weekly food planning – don’t worry, I’m not going to write out my shopping list every week! Just the important bits that you need to know for the meals I’m planning, why I’m planning certain meals, and how much is from fridge and store cupboard leftovers. I’ll also be sharing any new recipes I come across that I love, and any other foodie experience I may have along the way! And as cooking is obviously such an essential part to all this, you may also notice the occasional Steamer Trading Cookshop posted about too 😉

I hope you enjoy and maybe learn a little about making your food work for you 🙂

Lotsa Love! x
